Gerhard's "we are family" attitude also seeps into how the company treats its employees. There are about 40 of them, and turnover, Bud noted, has always been low.
"(Our employees) end up being pretty much like family members," Gerry offered.
The company takes a "customer service" approach, Bud explained. Regardless of the title, he said, everyone—the sales people, technicians, owners—works together. Responsibil-ities often blur. "It's not unusual to see me delivering or answering the phone," Gerry said. "We were sweeping the floor before you came in this morning."
