The IFA Dell booth consisted of multiple examples of the company’s 2018 innovations. Of particular interest were the stepped-up technologies on its laptop and PC lines that optimize audio and video performance. The company spotlighted Dell Cinema, a combination of several cutting-edge performance enhancements that affect sound, streaming and color reproduction.
CinemaSound is a method of fine-tuning audio with software in each model via DSP, for clearer high frequencies and deeper bass – to the end of a greater immersive experience, said the company. That is achieved via a partnership with Waves MaxxAudio Pro. CinemaStream uses technology proprietary to Dell and co-developed with Rivet Networks to lessen buffering, and provide more bandwidth and better resolution. CinemaColor, a hardware solution powered by Windows HD Color, brings best-in-class displays to the fore by decoding HDR streamed content with better detail, enhanced hues and sharper brightness.
