Smart TV Demand Outstrips 3D
Demand this holiday season for smart TVs is nearly twice that of 3D TVs, according to a new survey released this week by Parks Associates. Parks also found that flat-panel TVs are "the most popular CE product this holiday season."
“Smart TVs are now pushing into the mainstream, whereas previously smart-TV buyers were largely early adopters and those from high-income households,” Kurt Scherf, VP and principal analyst at Parks Associates, said as part of the announcement.
“The combination of a maturing product ecosystem with great holiday deals is putting smart TVs within the reach of the American middle class.”
