Expanding the Network
Denon America recently unveiled several new products that demonstrate its commitment to the specialty retail and installer markets and to fuel growing demand for whole-house networking.
Jeff Talmadge, director of product development and systems integration at Denon America, explained that the company is expanding applications and options in its offerings in ways it has not done in the past.
Talmadge said that both Denon and its dealers have noticed an increase in requests for integration of music servers, iPods and computer hard drives. While a wide variety of networking solutions were already available, Denon saw an opportunity to develop a much simpler solution for both the consumer and the systems integrator by allowing the A/V receiver, which is already the centerpiece of any good home theater, to handle all the networking tasks as well.
