Denon Electronics Unveils Updated HEOS Product Line
Denon Electronics, a manufacturer of premium home and personal audio products, unveiled “significant upgrades” to its popular line of HEOS wireless multi-room sound system speakers. Rolled out by the company in 2014, the HEOS by Denon series has made efforts to evolve along with the changing demands of the consumer.
As of Tuesday morning, Denon announced that the HEOS family of speakers, pre-amps, and amps will be adding Bluetooth accessibility, which means consumers will have their choice of utilizing either their existing WiFi network or Bluetooth to play music through their HEOS system.
But that’s not all. In addition to the new Bluetooth functionality, HEOS will now be compatible with hi-res audio files, which means users can listen to uncompressed WAV (PCM), Apple Lossless Audio Codec (ALAC), and Free Lossless Audio Codec (FLAC) music files up to 24-bit/192-kHz over the network or via USB. Denon will also be adding compatibility for DSD (the audio coding format of SACD) and Audio Interchange File Format (AIFF) audio tracks.
