Denon Unwraps Integrated Amp & CD Player for Hi-Fi Novices
Denon has announced the September availability of the PMA-600NE integrated amplifier ($399) and the DCD-600NE CD player ($299; shown), which offer both high-performance audio characteristics and connectivity options at affordable prices for music-streaming consumers who are looking to build a first hi-fi system.
“Getting started with a serious two-channel listening system can seem daunting when the majority of components boasting hi-fi qualities tend to be tens of thousands of dollars,” said Michael Greco, senior director, Denon brand management. “The amp and CD player are a great stepping stone for the music enthusiast looking to begin their journey into hi-fi.”
The PMA-600NE is engineered with Denon’s Advanced High Current (AHC) single push-pull circuit power amplification technology, delivering 70 watts per channel (4ohm, 1kHz, THD 0.7%, 2-channel). Similar to the Denon 800 and 1600 Series hi-fi components, the PMA-600NE features a 24-bit/192kHz digital-to-analog converter that optimizes the sound of streaming files as well as CDs and vinyl records.
