Despite Delay, Many Stations Plan Early DTV Shift
While Congress has passed legislation to move the analog shutoff date from Feb. 17 to June 12, a large number of TV stations are going to turn off their analog signals on the earlier date regardless.
According to the Associated Press, the legislation gave stations the option of sticking with the original date, and many plan to do so. Others have not yet decided. The FCC has asked that stations notify them by Monday of their plans.
