Despite Shortages, AT&T iPhone Sales Double in First 12 Days
Despite running out of product in stores throughout the country and continuing to suffer shortages to this day, AT&T said Wednesday that it has sold twice as many iPhone 3G devices thus far than it did of the original iPhone in its first 12 days available last year.
According to AppleInsider.com, the announcement came as AT&T released its earnings for the most recent quarter, in which it posted a 30 percent gain in profit- even though the quarter ended 11 days prior to the new iPhone’s release.
