Details Trickle Out on BlackBerry Storm
While exact pricing and release date information for Research in Motion's forthcoming touchscreen device, the BlackBerry Storm, remains unknown, various details have begun to leak out about the long-awaited device, which will be available exclusively on Verizon Wireless.
TV commercials showing the actual device- as opposed to a teaser that had been running for weeks previously- debuted last weekend, indicating that the release will come prior to the holiday shopping season.
Meanwhile, Verizon released some details Thursday on the device. Coming with a pre-installed SIM card, the Storm will offer 3G data speeds on many networks worldwide. Verizon will also offer a Global Value Plan offering roaming charges worldwide for $4.99 a month, while a GlobalEmail Data plan will cost $69.99.
