D&H Summer Tech Show Trains Focus on Emerging Tech
D&H Distributing’s Mid-Atlantic Summer Technology Show at Pennsylvania’s Hershey Lodge was held June 21, drawing around 125 vendors and increasing its dealer and value-added reseller (VAR) attendance over last June’s event by five percent, said Jeff Davis, senior vice president of sales.
The show offered attendees a mix of educational sessions and a menu of products that Davis said included a popular, interactive corner where virtual reality (VR), PC virtual gaming and console video gaming products were showcased. “All the big vendors were there. They were impressed with the quality of our customers, and our customers were very happy,” Davis said.
Besides, VR and PC gaming, Davis cited a few other product category bright spots at this show. They included widescreen curved 4K monitors suitable for gaming. “The fitness category is also doing well,” he said, as well as small appliances and sporting goods. In Ultra HD 4K televisions, curved TVs drew attention, as did streaming content products such those available from Roku and Amazon, which are becoming more popular as consumers look to cut the cord on cable and satellite.
