Digital Imaging Software Opportunities for Sales
Nathan Brown, director of marketing for ArcSoft, noted that product versatility and project-oriented programs are important to consumers. Products that allow for putting multiple photos on a page or software designed for presentations or animations are appealing to consumers.
Brown described the typical consumer as someone who has dallied in digital imaging, "and now they know what they want." And what they want is a combination of photo editing and project oriented programs, including software for creating a variety of output, such as cards, calenders and brochures.
The variety of imaging software on the market can make it difficult for the consumer, and the dealer, to decide what to buy. Manufacturers pointed out that packaging that shows output examples or explains the product's ease of use can help to sway a consumer's mind.
