The Fingertip Revolution
Luxury vehicle manufacturers place a lot of emphasis on the design of remote key fobs. Most manufacturers integrate the technology into the key and try to keep the overall footprint as small as possible.
While keyfobs now include more sophisticated features, (including remote start, which is featured on the Bulgari-designed Cadillac XLR fob), they do little to protect the vehicle and its contents from theft. The customer, however, believes otherwise and therefore overlooks aftermarket security systems, thinking the super-fobs offer all the theft protection they need.
Directed Electronics took all of those considerations into account when it designed the Responder LE 2-way security systems, which will be marketed under the Viper, Python and Clifford brands. Along with good looks, their technology-rich features make them compatible with DATABUS-equipped vehicles. More importantly, the new units help installers reduce the amount of wiring needed in a typical installation.
