Dish's Hopper Notches Another Courtroom Victory
Dish Network's Hopper commercial-skipping DVR won another legal victory Wednesday, as the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals rejected an appeal by Fox to a previous ruling denying an injunction against the technology.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the court found that an earlier ruling by U.S. District Court Judge Dolly Gee did not abuse discretion in finding Fox hadn't demonstrated the likelihood that its claims were correct.
Fox's suit is one of many against the technology. NBC, CBS and ABC are also suing Dish in various legal venues.
