Distributor D & H Addresses Digital Crossover

D&H Distributing (www.dandh.com) outlined several growth markets in the consumer electronics industry for retailers to consider this year. The projections are based on sales results, feedback from retail partners, and comparisons within the market place about CE product categories. The projections divide each section into target products for retailers, which is based on D & H's own relationships with it's small-, mid- and major retail partners in the CE industry.
The company identified a new, cross-market area of opportunity in relation to the convergence of the home entertainment, consumer electronics (CE) and home networking arenas. D&H reported that approximately 10 percent of it's 2002 revenues came from cross-sales between computer products and CE categories. It expects that number to grow to 4,000 in 2003 with more retailers serving both markets.
