WYNIT Embraces 'Special Deals'
Distributor WYNIT, Inc., said last week that its strategy for the recession has been to seek out "special deals" with suppliers, and direct them to well-positioned resellers. The company said that despite the sluggish holiday season last year and the lack of a breakout product or category this year, it beat out sales projections in both March and April.
“Our greatest assets are the relationships we foster with our customers and suppliers,” WYNIT COO Pete Richichi said as part of the announcement. “In a booming marketplace, suppliers are challenged to meet consumer demands, and everyone in the channel is fighting for a share of available product.
"When sales begin to slow," he continued, "suppliers are looking for the most cost-effective ways to move excess inventory, and they are open to cutting deals to make that happen.”
