The long-awaited Droid X smartphone from Verizon Wireless and Motorola will arrive in stores Thursday and Verizon is marking the occasion by encouraging those purchasing the device to recycle their old phone.
Verizon is asking those buying the Droid X to donate their old phones to Hopeline, which will have bins at Verizon stores nationwide.
Verizon's Hopeline, according to the company website, "collects no-longer used wireless phones, batteries and accessories from any wireless service provider at our Communications Stores nationwide and puts the nation’s most reliable wireless network to work in our communities by turning these unused wireless phones into support for victims of domestic violence."
