Distributor DSI Systems rounded out its series of four regional 2011 Expos with a buying and educational event in Orange County, Calif. June 15, making a strong case to its independent dealer clients to board the connectivity bandwagon in their showrooms as a means to better profitability.
The meeting followed regional Expos that took place in Des Moines, Columbus, Ohio and Dallas earlier this spring, and a total of almost 900 dealers combined attended all events, said Doug Robison, DSI president. “We’re writing a lot of business here,” he said, adding that in the current market, “we’re seeing units up but dollars flat. It’s tough out there.”
The Orange County Expo’s agenda of intense vendor training and special buy-in opportunities was presented by Robison as a path to a solution – “an opportunity for you to set your floors, plan your strategy and take you all the way to the Super Bowl,” he told dealers in welcoming remarks.
