DTV Transition Awareness Rising, NAB Says
More than twice as many consumers are aware of the upcoming digital television transition now as they were this time last year, and 79 percent of Americans are now aware of it. That’s according to a survey issued this week by the National Association of Broadcasters.
According to the survey, 79 percent of survey respondents had “seen, read or heard something” about the transition at the time that the survey was taken earlier this month. The joint industry-government effort to educate the public about the transition began running television and print ads around the new year.
In addition, 83 percent of respondents in over-the-air households say they are aware of the transition.
