Late last month, Roxy.com began a multi-million dollar national advertising campaign. Its spokesman is Niedermeyer, a fictional character who is, as Sherwin put it, "the kid who ran the A/V equipment in high school." The ads will run on TV, radio and print.
Sherwin said banner ads and a print campaign from the company will answer such social questions as "no, DVD is not a social disease."
