E3, a massive trade show for the video game industry put on by the Entertainment Software Association, came to a conclusion last week out in Los Angeles. The event welcomed just shy of 70,000 attendees, proving that the gaming industry still has a place in the world despite the fast rise of smartphone gaming.
There are plenty of well-written, comprehensive roundups out there from E3, but most of what you’ll see has to do with the software side of things. That’s great and definitely worth the read—especially if you’re a video game enthusiast—but not necessarily the right information for the CE retailer.
Only a handful of announcements should draw particularly high interest from the CE retail community, so let’s quickly run through them.
