Dealerscope: Talk about the potential for the overall drone category for the next few years, both from a consumer-product perspective as well as from the pro AV perspective.
Kelly: The U.S. overall is the largest drone market in the world. If you think about the number and type of units on the consumer side, and the trends, that’s being driven by cameras, and you have to think about the popularity of GoPro, and the fact that they certainly see [a percentage] of their camera sales driven by drones. They’re going to be coming out with their own drone product and build on that.
[For the category,] we’re looking at [research that predicts] well over a million in unit sales in Fiscal Year 2014, 2.5 million in 2015, and four million to five million units in 2016 and 2017. And, I think, over time, that will be enhanced; I think those numbers are conservative. You’ll see a portion of those units being prosumer and commercial.
