The Hong Kong Electronics Fair is not CES. It’s smaller, the companies are generally different and, as one might predict, it is focused on what the Asian consumer is buying. However, that’s not to say CES doesn’t have an impact on the fair. While the Spring Edition resembled a recap of CES, the Fall Edition had a life of its own, making it a good place to see what’s up and coming in the Asian market.
Of course, given a short period of time, what’s up and coming in the Asian market will most likely be up in coming in the American market as well - hopefully just in time for CES 2017. We made a list of 3 things that stood out to us at the fair’s Fall Edition last week that we predict will also be “next big thing” items at CES 2017.
