Electrolux Breaks Ground in Tennessee
Electrolux this week broke ground on the new North American Cooking Products manufacturing center in Memphis. Officials at several levels of government were on hand for the ceremony.
The facility, which will make Electrolux and Frigidaire products, will create more than 1,200 jobs, the company said.
"With the addition of this facility, Tennessee will become the North American Center of Excellence for Electrolux cooking product development and manufacturing,” Jack Truong, President and CEO of Electrolux Major Appliances, North America, said as part of the announcement. “We are very excited to see the hard work of the past 10 months come to fruition and thank the city, county and state for their support of Electrolux Company.”
