Elite Screens Goes to 16:10 Aspect Ratio
Elite Screens, Inc., last week announced that it will offer retractable projection screens in the 16:10 aspect ratio. The company previously used the 4:3 format.
“The 16:10 aspect ratio is replacing the old 4:3 NTSC format in many new computer models,” the company's marketing manager, David Rodgers, said as part of the announcement. “While I foresee some life still left in the 4:3 aspect ratio, the popularity of 16:10 has really been growing by leaps and bounds.”
The company also announced the initial launch of its Osprey dual format 2.35:1 / 16:9 tandem projection screen, for use with projectors that have dual-mode anamorphic stretch capabilities. The Osprey screens start at $1,999.
