ESPA Puts Out Call for Affiliates
The recently formed Electronic Systems Professional Alliance (ESPA) has put out a call for affiliates to help determine the shape of its universal education and certification program. The group was formed by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), Custom Electronics Design & Installation Association (CEDIA) and the National Systems Contractors Association (NSCA). ESPA chairman Chuck Wilson says, “The three initial partners have made monetary, infrastructure and resource commitments worth millions of dollars and now we are openly inviting more organizations to participate in the development process.” The terms, definitions and best practices that ESPA will promote will be developed by the affiliates, who will also take part in promotional activities for the organization. ESPA plans on launching its programs in Q4 2007. For more information about becoming an affiliate, contact ESPA Managing Director Deb Rolfes at (319) 861-8622 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
