New Solutions Come in Loud and Clear
Audio component vendors have always claimed to listen to their dealers when it comes to product design and development.
That was evident at this year’s CEDIA Expo as vendors continued to mold their products for the networking and retrofit arenas. They beefed up their lines with flexible, future-proof offerings that they say meet the same standards as their earlier products.
Stimulating the growth of that trend was the increasing popularity and dominance of younger companies such as Control4, which announced several strategic partnerships; Sonos; NuVo; and Sooloos. These companies were among the first leverage the iPod’s ease-of-use and simplify entertainment content distribution. The success of these companies has sent ripples throughout the industry, challenging other manufacturers to simplify the audio solutions for the dealer, installer and end user, no matter the price point.
