Ezlo Innovation Acquires Centralite Systems
Ezlo Innovation, a global leader in the development of smart solutions for homes and businesses, has announced its third acquisition in less than a year. The New Jersey-based tech company yesterday announced the acquisition of Centralite Systems, maker of the Centralite line of consumer and white-labeled smart home devices.
Ezlo has been rapidly expanding its product portfolio to offer customers more options in connected devices. In August 2018, Ezlo acquired smart home services platform, MiOS along with its Vera line of consumer products. Then in October 2018, Ezlo acquired intelligent leak detection and flood prevention solution leader, Fortrezz. By adding Centralite to its lineup, Ezlo is now able to offer a new category for connected homes and businesses with an array of smart thermostats, switches, and sensors. Building on its MiOS acquisition, the new products will be compatible with a Vera controller and camera product line.
For the consumer, the Cetralite acquisition will provide more choices in terms of convenience and comfort, and for Ezlo, it will help bring them closer to becoming a technology-agnostic platform. Ezlo has addressed its goal of creating total connectivity for all devices in the nearly $40 billion U.S. smart home market down the line.
“We continue to strategically grow our family of brands to move the smart home market closer to a world where products just work,” said Mark Samuel, CEO of Ezlo Innovation. “As many brands today are reducing the number of devices with which they integrate, we’re taking the opposite approach. By adding Centralite to our product portfolio, we will accelerate the integration process for our customers and make it easier for them to choose which products they want to use for their smart home systems, rather than having those decisions made for them.”
