Audio manufacturer Klipsch announced on Tuesday that it learned a number of its fans and faithful customers are planning a pilgrimage to the company’s Hope, Arkansas facilities on May 20-21. Over 125 “Klipsch community” forum members will descend upon the location to celebrate “their collective passion” for Klipsch speakers, the Klipsch employees who handcrafted them, and the company’s 70th anniversary.
This pilgrimage is not something new, Klipsch said. It’s an annual occurrence, but this will be the first time that the event has been planned and executed by fans of the brand—Klipsch audio forum members, to be exact. The event will take place at the Hope, Arkansas facility where Paul W. Klipsch founded the brand in 1946, and where Klipsch maintains a manufacturing facility, warehouse, and museum.
“Klipsch and its forum members have a relationship that most companies can only hope to achieve,” Christy Luquet, Klipsch forum moderator and brand enthusiast, said in a statement. “It is based on mutual respect for high quality speakers and preserving the high standards that Paul W. Klipsch started this company with seventy years ago in that small tin shed in Hope, Arkansas. The close friendships we have made with members on the forum and Klipsch employees became the driving force behind my interest in coordinating the annual Pilgrimage this year. I hope that we can pass the emotion, respect and loyalty we have for Klipsch down to many generations to come.”
