FCC to Move Ahead With “Free Internet” Plan
The Federal Communications Commission said Friday that it will move ahead with plans to auction off a portion of the wireless spectrum for free Internet service, Reuters reported. The matter has been opened for public comment.
The conditions? Network providers must block pornography, as well as provide coverage for half of the U.S. within four years and 95 percent within ten.
