FCC’s Martin To Sit With Shapiro at CES
The Consumer Electronics Association announced this week that Kevin Martin, presently the chairman of the Federal Communications Commission, will sit for a public one-on-interview with CEA president and CEO Gary Shapiro as part of the Industry Insider Series at next month’s International CES.
The interview is scheduled to take place Tuesday, Jan. 8, at North Hall at the Las Vegas Convention Center, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. The two men, according to CES, will discuss “the digital television transition, cable compatibility, spectrum, broadband and other issues critical to the consumer electronics industry.”
Others included as part of the series include Yahoo CEO Jerry Yang, Variety Publisher Charlie Koones, Best Buy CEO Bradley Anderson and Circuit City CEO Philip Schoonover.
