Mounts Aim to Please DIYers and Install Pros
The S1 joins the recently introduced TC105B in the CLO line—a motorized tilt mount with Smart Tilt functionality that returns the TV to its flush-against-the-wall position when the set is shut off ($249).
Premier Mounts showed off a line earmarked for retail sale in the second quarter that was adapted from its professional mounts line, said David Robinson, Eastern regional sales manager. Prominent among the offerings is the combination pro/consumer Model WTFM3765—part of the company’s Entertainment Series, and what Premier is billing as the world’s thinnest flat-panel mount. The model hangs a flat panel .37 inches from the wall, and can accommodate TVs of up to 100 pounds and 37 to 65 inches ($229.99).
The 3765 features an expandable back plate, spring-loaded brackets with a safety release, and built-in lateral shift capability. Also on exhibit was the two-model LIFT Series, which provide 71 inches of lift for panels up to 58 inches and tucks them away into customized cabinets at the touch of a button. Supporting Premier’s direct-retailing efforts are two online how-to videos that showcase the experiences of homeowners who recently wall-mounted their TVs.
