Fesco Celebrates 50
Distributor Fesco held its annual two-day product exposition this week at CitiField, home of the New York Mets baseball team, while marking the upcoming 50th anniversary of its founding.
Fifty vendors were in attendance, and 1,300 dealers were expected in total from the New York-New Jersey-Pennsylvania-Connecticut area at the event, hosted by Fesco chairman Sam Goldstein.
David Goldstein, the company’s executive vice president, said Fesco’s business has experienced an uptick, in part due to the exit of competitors from the market over the past year. “Manufacturers need to get their product out, and luckily, dealers each year look to distributors to be their warehouses. A lot of dealers are struggling but they need us to carry thousands of products so they can streamline their buying,” he observed.
