Focal Naim America Appoints Wendy Knowles as Head of Public Relations
Global leader in high fidelity products, Focal Naim America, has welcomed Wendy Knowles as the company’s Head of PR for the US and Canada. In this newly-created position, Knowles will act as the main media contact for Vervent Audio Group’s North American subsidiaries, Focal and Naim.
Knowles brings over 30 years of communication experience to the role having spent the past five specializing in consumer tech, audio, gaming, software, lighting, and mobile accessories. She was previously associated with major brands including Focal (while at an outside agency), V-MODA, Hercules, SteelSeries, MSI, Lightstream, SORAA, Austere, Pelican, Case-Mate and Silk.
The merger between French acoustic sound brand, Focal, and British hi-fi leader, Naim Audio, represents a new investment phase for Vervent in the US and Canada. The Group has ambitions to turn the North American territory into the market leader for Focal and Naim, which have been in business for 40 and 45 years, respectively.
Vervent worked with specialist retail partners to open the first three Focal Powered by Naim concept stores in Seoul, South Korea; Lyon, France; and Scottsdale, AZ. These stores allow consumers to experience some of the world’s best hi-fi and loudspeakers with exceptional acoustics from Focal and electronics expertise from Naim Audio. Vervent plans to open six new flagship stores per year beginning in 2020 which will be helped by the recent investment from Alpha Private Equity.
