Former Executives Reportedly Stole From CompUSA
Four former employees of CompUSA, including two brothers of former Technology Products CEO Gilbert Fiorentino, reportedly stole millions of dollars in electronic equipment from a company headquarters, according to a newspaper account that cited a police report.
According to a Miami Herald report, the two Fiorentino brothers and two other employees arrived at the Mall of the Americas headquarters in Miami July 5 and were caught "taking stuff." The $17 million figure, the newspaper said, may have included past thefts and/or kickbacks.
Gilbert Fiorentino resigned in May from CompUSA's parent company, Systemax and agreed to return $11 million in assets while admitting to unspecified improprieties. The Securities and Exchange Commission has also announced an investigation.
