Former Fry's Exec Gets Six-Year Sentence
The former high-ranking executive with Fry's Electronics who was convicted of embezzling millions of dollars from the company has been sentenced to six years in prison.
According to the San Jose Mercury News, the attorney for Ausaf "Omar" Siddiqui had asked for a three-year sentence.
Siddiqui, the retail chain's former vice president of merchandising and operations, was convicted of stealing $87 million from the company, most of which was used to pay off Las Vegas casinos. He was arrested in December of 2008.
