On Thursday, Fossil, Inc. announced a wristwatch that will let you know who’s calling your mobile without all the bother of reaching in your pocket and looking at your phone. Bluetooth technology allows the watch to display the number of an incoming call and, with the press of a button, the user can choose to reject or mute it. The watch will also notify the user of an incoming text message with an envelope icon and a shudder. The device is basically a microphone and speaker away from being the Dick Tracy watch.
The Fossil brand of Caller ID watch (style FX6001) will be available in late October for $250.00 exclusively at wwww.fossil.com The watch also comes in an Abacus brand in two styles (AU6001 and AU6002), both of which will be available in mid-October through CompUSA for $200.00.
The watch also comes with a battery that can be re-charged via AC adapter or USB. In all likelihood, the watch also features the ability to tell time.
