Friday in CE: Samsung Galaxy S9 Has Headphone Jack, Few Other Tricks
With leaked photos, specs, and features, we have a pretty clear look at what Samsung's Galaxy S9 is going to be. Still two weeks out the otherwise black glass brick will sport a first-in-class processor inside its bezel-less frame.
However, a recent tweet has shown that Samsung may still have something up their sleeves.

Meet the DeX Dock. For now, the rumors say that it can turn the phone into a mouse pad or keyboard during Android PC mode. It sports an HDMI, USB-C, and USB-A, connecting to the phone with a USB-C port.
And apparently, the Galaxy S9 is shipping with a headphone jack. Though the new DeX Pad is expected to launch alongside the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus, its functionality will likely extend to all DeX-compatible devices. We'll know more about the DeX Pad in the coming weeks.
Pixel 2 Class Action Lawsuit, Too Little Too Late
It's no secret that the first batch of Pixel 2's was, well, bad. Between off-colored screens, screen burn-in, and bad microphone connections, what should have been celebrated as the flagship Android phone was anything but.
Google’s Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones suffer from what the company called a “hairline crack in the solder connection on the audio codec.” In some cases, this made it extremely difficult to use the microphone, making phone calls and voice commands impossible.
The company says only 1% of Pixel phones included the defect, but the lawsuit notes that within just a few weeks of the device’s launch people were already reporting issues with the microphone. Instead of offering refunds, Google replaced some defective smartphones with new units that had the exact same issue. Even worse, the company never stopped selling the Pixel and Pixel XL despite mounting evidence that something was wrong.
