From Custom Retailer: Ken Smith Elected CEDIA President
CEDIA yesterday elected a new president, executive committee and board of directors. Ken Smith, founder and president of Custom Electronics in Falmouth, Maine, is CEDIA’s new president. Smith has previously served as secretary and later vice president of the CEDIA Executive Committee, dean of CEDIA University Business College and of the Vision and Excellence Track, and chair of EXPO Education, the CEDIA Education Council Chair and the Membership Council. He is a past CEDIA/HA Pro Dealer of the Year award recipient.
Smith rode a bicycle from Maine to Denver prior to CEDIA EXPO to raise money and awareness for cancer research and awareness. His ride, said CEDIA, was covered by newspapers and broadcast media across the country.
High on Smith’s agenda as president, said CEDIA, is CEDIA model legislation with the government affairs committee, new and expanded member services, and a new technology council.
