Fry’s Employees Offered Paid Line-Cutting
Employees at one Fry’s Electronics location offered their customers a unique deal on Black Friday morning. According to the Seattle-area television station KING-5, several employees approached customers and offered them the chance to cut to the front of the line in exchange for a $200 payoff. Another shopper reported being offered a place at the front of the line for $108.79.
When interviewed by the station, the store’s manager said the employees were not authorized to make such an offer and that the practice had been stopped. He also vowed to fire any employee who solicited the bribes, and to refund the money to any customers who had paid it.
