Imagine getting a whole group of the top minds in consumer electronics retailing together in one room for two days, letting them learn from one another and get actual work done, and network against the backdrop of the Pacific Coast—from CEOs of tech manufacturing groups, to chief buyers from some of the biggest retailers out there. That’s exactly what went down at FutureVision 2016 in Laguna Beach last week.
The event, put on by Dealerscope, gives retail attendees an extremely unique opportunity to listen to presentations on the future of retail, while providing a setting that allows them to network and talk business with industry visionaries and elite manufacturers.
As a first-timer at the event, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From start to finish, attendees are treated with white-glove service, getting shuttled from the airport to the luxury resort. The accommodations were top-notch. The event staff are just above and beyond some of the best people to work with (yeah, they’re my colleagues, but don’t let that take anything away from the tremendous work they did). And the evening activities—from the food to the golf to the wine tasting—made it feel like you were almost on a vacation. Albeit an incredibly productive and informative one.
