Gadget Guard has announced new cell phone cases with alara technology built in are now available for all iPhone models—iPhone 7, 8, X, XS, XR, 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max and SE. Customers can order all models at GadgetGuard.com. The company claims the cases with alara technology reduce user exposure to radio frequency (RF) radiation by up to 75% while still maintaining the phone’s signal quality.
“This full line of iPhone cases fulfills our commitment to guard mobile devices and the people who use them,” said Ryan McCaughey, the Company’s CTO. “People are keeping their phones longer so it’s important to have a case that will protect their phone from breaking but also protect them from radiation.”
Gadget Guard’s new case was honored with a Silver Stevie Award in the Consumer Electronics category at the 18th Annual American Business Awards. More than 3,600 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration for the awards.
Embedded within the Gadget Guard case are micro-thin antennas that automatically pair with iPhones to dramatically reduce user exposure to cell phone radiation. The company claims it does not simply shield or block RF, but redirects it away from the user, which maintains the signal while reducing radiation exposure.
The new iPhone cases come in two versions. The slim version is available for all iPhones and has a sleek profile that follows the contours of the phone, provides 4-foot drop protection and is easy to grip with a soft-touch feel. The rugged version delivers 10-foot drop protection. The rugged cases are available for the iPhone 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max and XR.
During the past year, the company has been testing cellphone radiation emitted by iPhones at an independent certified lab. These tests found iPhone 7 radiation levels can be more than 50% over the FCC safety standard, and the iPhone 11 Pro can emit more than double the safety limit.
The tests also confirmed the Gadget Guard with alara technology cases reduced radiation by as much as 75% in situations representing normal phone use. See the iPhone 7 test results graph here and the iPhone 11 Pro test results graph here.
“Now more than ever we are aware how important it is to protect our health,” added McCaughey. “Reducing cellphone radiation exposure can only have a positive impact on our health over the long run.”
The Gadget Guard case with alara technology sells for $39.99 for the slim version and $49.99 for the rugged version.
