GameStop Raises Money for Charity with Human Claw Machine
As part of their annual charitable initiative, GameStop will be lowering humans into a giant claw machine for their chance to win a variety of gaming loot next week at E3. All of the proceeds will benefit the Extra Life Foundation, the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals fundraising program within the gaming community. Attendees will be encouraged to donate before testing their luck in the claw machine, and can enter to win even more prizes by posing for a picture in the photo booth beforehand.
The giant pit is made up of a sea of games, collectibles, and accessories from GameStop and several of its partners including: Activision Blizzard, GUNNAR Optiks, HORI, Jazwares, KontrolFreek®, PDP, PlayStation, Take-Two Interactive Software, Turtle Beach and many more.
Aside from the main attraction, GameStop will also be showcasing a slew of toy collectibles and pop culture items. They’ll also be bringing back Only @GameStop Funko merchandise for the event, and will host a meet-and-greet with Gears Pro Circuit Season 2 Champions, OpTic Gaming
Those not attending E3 can also support the cause by visiting any local GameStop and donating the proceeds they receive from trade-ins. The Trade-in for Charity initiative will run until June 24, and gamers will be able to donate up to 100% of the credit value to help kids treated at their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. PowerUp Rewards members can also donate some of their PowerUp Rewards points to the noble cause as well.
The GameStop Gives Human Claw Machine will be located in the South Lobby (F26/27) at E3.
