Garmin Has Big Super Bowl Ad Plans
Fresh off its talked-about “Maposaurus” spot of last year, Garmin is planning another national spot for this year’s Super Bowl, which will take place Feb. 3.
According to the Kansas City Star, while the GPS provider is being secretive about what exactly it has planned for the commercial, it is planning a press conference for New York on Jan. 30 to unveil the ad to the press. All the company will say is that neither the heroic Garmin Man nor the evil Maposaurus will appear in the new ad.
At the same time, at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Garmin and Panasonic Automotive Systems Company of America announced a partnership in which the two companies will work together on in-car electronics.
