Shapiro Previews CES
While next month's International CES will be smaller than those of past years, CEA President/CEO Gary Shapiro told the Wall Street Journal this week that he is more excited about this year's CES than any other he has attended in the past 28 years.
Speaking with the Wall Street Journal's Digits blog, the reasons for Shapiro's excitement includes a recovery in interest and sign-ups after last year's recession-marred version of the show. In addition, the event will feature numerous product announcements in newer categories, especially 3D, e-readers, and mobile electronics.
Shapiro told the paper that CEA is projecting 110,000 attendees, although it hopes to surpass that number.
