This week, GE Appliances, a Haier company, announced a few different personnel moves that are aimed at helping the company drive business growth on the commercial side throughout the U.S. Specifically, GE Appliances has named John Boyd the Vice President of Contract Sales and Jim Skaggs the Vice President of Retail Sales.
In a statement, GE Appliances explained that both newly expanded leadership roles will become part of the Commercial stuff under Chief Commercial Officer Rick Hasselbeck, and both will become members of the Executive Council leadership team. “These promotions are part of GE Appliances’ growth plans to become the leading major appliance company in the U.S.,” Hasselbeck said in the statement. “As we grow, supporting our customers by being the easiest appliance company with whom to do business is critical to our success. Elevating John’s and Jim’s roles gives us better visibility into customer needs, which is critical to our overall strategy.”
Combined, Boyd and Skaggs have close to 50 years of industry experience with GE Appliances. Skaggs, the company said, has more than 24 years of experience in the industry, having held significant commercial leadership roles within GEA prior to assuming his current role, including Region Manager, Commercial Director, and General Manager of Buying Groups and Independents.
