GE Releases Larger Fridge for Larger Kitchens
GE has released a new Monogram professional bottom-freezer refrigerator that comes in both 36-inch and 72-inch models. In its largest form, the stainless steel appliance contains 41.2 cubic feet of storage space distributed between two fresh-food compartments and two freezer compartments. The fridge is designed to accommodate modern kitchens, which – according to the American Institute of Architects (AIA) – are continuing to grow in square footage. Says AIA Chief Economist Kermit Baker, PhD, Hon. AIA, “Both the square feet devoted to kitchens and the number of separate cooking facilities throughout the home are increasing, including the additions of outdoor kitchens in many areas of the country.”
The Monogram arrives in August with an MSRP of $13,999 - $14,499 for the 72-inch model, and $6,799-$6,999 for its little brother.
