Aiwa is giving a compilation CD or cassette of bands featured in its national radio ad to consumers when they buy an Aiwa car stereo. The promotion runs through the summer, supported with POP materials and camera-ready artwork for inclusion in retailers' ads.
AudioControl will distribute a promotional booklet called Parking Lot Profits to its dealers at Fuse. The booklet is packed with ideas for contests and events dealers can run in their parking lots to attract customers and sales. Because business has gotten more difficult and things got tougher, dealers are more receptive to doing promotional events, President Tom Walker said.
Just as the Harley-Davidson of jet skis begins to roll-off the assembly lines, AuraSound dealers can attract crowds to their stores by offering them a chance to win one of the first 10 JetBikes by Aquajet to come out of production. The promotion began in Daytona Beach, Fla., during spring break. "We're not the biggest guy out there, but we like to have fun," Mark Drake, vice president of marketing for Aura Systems, the parent company of AuraSound, said.
