German Pavilion to Debut at CE China 2019
With IFA 2019 right around the corner, much of the attention has been on the Berlin-based tradeshow for the consumer electronics and home appliances market. But just beyond that event, IFA will quickly shift its focus to Guangzhou and CE China 2019. There, the newly-timed event will look to keep the momentum of IFA 2019 rolling as the consumer tech and home appliance brand embraces the Chinese market for the fourth year in a row.
New this year, IFA announced that CE China will feature a German Pavilion. The Pavilion will be supported by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) for the first time, bringing a “Made in Germany” theme to the Asian retail market. Several top-flight German manufacturers will be on hand to support the German Pavilion, including Beurer, Faytech, Gfk, gfu, Maybaum, Miji, Sennheiser, Severin, VDE and more.
Already a vibrant platform, IFA said that the goal of bringing these brands into CE China under the “Made in Germany” banner is to entice Asian trade visitors to come to the show to get up-close-and-personal with brands they typically don’t interact with. Beyond the German brands attending the show, CE China already has a strong collection of domestic and overseas brands confirmed to attend, including Haier and Midea from China, Korean juicer expert Kuvings, Danish audio brand Vifa, and more.
Sennheiser at CE China
In addition to the news on the German Pavilion at CE China, IFA announced that Global Audio Partner Sennheiser will take advantage of the IFA Retail University at the show. A platform for international brands to deliver strong product pitches to key retailers in China, the IFA Retail University utilizes 20-minute Power Briefing sessions throughout the course of the show. Sennheiser will now be a part of that program.
“With a fast-growing market in China, we are especially looking forward to participating in CE China and its Retail University, as these provide outstanding opportunities to get closer to our customers in this vibrant marketplace build ever stronger relationships and leverage exciting new opportunities,” Dr. Andreas Sennheiser, CEO of Sennheiser, said in a statement.
During the last CE China, more than 400 retail partners, buyers, and store managers attended the IFA Retail University presentations.
