German Tech Fair Raided
A technology fair in Germany was raided by government officials Thursday, and nearly 70 boxes were seized of mobile phones, GPS systems and other electronic devices that illegally infringed on patents, the Associated Press reported.
The raid took place at the CeBIT fair, an annual event in Berlin. Most of the companies with the illegal products were Chinese, while others were from Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, Germany and Poland. The patents violated including those related to blank media, as well as mp3 and mp4 sound files.
