Consumer electronics and appliances manufacturer Hisense has appointed David Gold as the new president of Hisense USA & Hisense Americas. He replaces Alex Zhu, the former president and CEO of Hisense USA, who has been promoted to the new role of president of Hisense International. Additionally, Yunfang Feng was named senior vice president of Hisense USA, and will oversee supply chain, customer service and administration.
“I’m incredibly proud to be a part of the progress we’ve made at Hisense alongside Mr. Zhu, and honored to take on a larger role in the company’s success,” said Gold in the announcement statement. “We prioritized product quality and performance in the U.S., and that focus has proven highly effective. Hisense has grown to be a leader in the U.S. consumer electronics market. I aim to maintain that momentum by expanding the brand even further across multiple categories, streamlining operations, and continuing our deep commitment to innovation, quality and performance.”
Gold joined Hisense in 2011, two years after the brand’s U.S. launch in 2009, and, according to the company, played an integral role in Hisense’s becoming a top three brand in Mexico. There, he oversaw the product and channel strategy as well as the efforts to develop the brand as a leader in the local CE & HA categories. In 2018, he was promoted to Vice President, Consumer Electronics, at Hisense USA. In his new role, he will oversee all aspects of sales, marketing and operations across all product categories as well as set the long-term strategy for the region and the expansion of Hisense’s Home Appliances’ product lines.
